Basic Essentials For Your Pregnancy Hospital Bag

It is recommended that you pack your pregnancy hospital bag a few months before you are expecting your little bundle of joy. Pregnancy varies from woman to woman but it is safer to be prepared if a situation arises and you do have early labor contractions. For example, Kim Kardashian delivered her 1st child at around 35 weeks of her pregnancy. Do you suppose that she had a hospital bag packed?

Well, here are some basic essentials that you will need during your hospital stay from head to toe:

  • Head.  Shampoo, conditioner, brush or comb, facial soap, tooth brush, tooth paste, floss, mouth wash, hair clips, and make up if you are expecting visitors.
  • Body. Nursing night gown/clothes and nursing bras for breastfeeding. Hospitals will supply stretchy underwear and maxi pads as well as a squirt bottle for washing post delivery whether vaginal or C-section. Body wash is optional.
  • Feet. Socks and slippers for walking around in your room and the hallways. You will be asked to move around to reduce risk of blood clots. You will have the opportunity to walk over and see your baby in the nursery whenever you want as well.

These are just the basic essentials that can be packed now and then put away until that time arrives. Other personal items like your special pillow, for example, can be packed later on.

It is better to be prepared ahead of time and avoid any last minute panic attacks. With your pregnancy hospital bag checked off your to-do list, you can easily focus on the well-being of your pregnancy. If you are interested in finding out more information, contact us today!
